Last night was the night to talk to people that I don't normally talk to. For instance, Wes. My first love, the guy who broke my heart into a million pieces. Who I pined over for 2 years. Now after all this time, I have no feelings for him whatsoever. I haven't had feelings for him since January of 2002 when I was in college. He came down, tried to have sex with me, and I realized I wasnt' interested. End of that story. Anyway we were talking last night about how unromantic he can be sometimes. He is a really good guy but he just doesn't understand that when you are dating a girl, you don't call her up and tell her how exciting a night you had fixing the belt on your chevy nova. We just don't get off on listening to guys talk about working on their cars. And wes is bad. I mean really bad. I remember when we were in high school he dated my friend nichole for a few months. He would send love letters to school with his brother Randall to give to her. But these weren't any ordinary love letters. Oh no. They were Wes' unique love letters. For example.......
My dearest Nichole,
I thought of you today and it made me smile. The way your hair flaps in the breeze. Reminds me of my air conditioner in my car. Just blowing away. And the thought of being in your arms gets me almost as excited as changing the roters on my Lincoln continental. And oh your voice. It is beautiful. As smooth as the sound of my corvette's engine purring. If you were a car I'd ride in you all night. But you aren't. And that saddens me. But tonight I'll think of you. Wishing you were here as I adjust the torque in my BMW. Cause I really do need someone to get my wrenches for me. That would be nice.
